(Cf. PART ONE, p. 53).<br \/>\nFive landmarks, among others, illustrate Beno\u00eet Ogoul'Iquaqua's great interest in the history and culture of his people, and his passion for bringing them to light and promoting them:<\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) 1932 :<\/strong> with the deed of July 1, 1932 (see PREMIERE<br \/>\nPART p. 50), he points out:<\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) 1947 :<\/strong> on August 28, he provided his compatriot Jean R\u00e9my Ayoun\u00e9 (Service de Presse et d'Information, Brazzaville) with \u201cinformation on the Oroungou country\u201d, in response to his \u201cquestionnaire on the economic, social and political organization of this country before the arrival of Europeans\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) 1950-1951 :<\/strong> following the visit (November) and correspondence accompanied by an exhaustive questionnaire on<br \/>\nthe history and traditions of the \u201cOmy\u00e8n\u00e8\u201d (December) by Andr\u00e9 Hauser, Sociologist at the Institut d'Etudes Centrafricaines (Brazzaville), Beno\u00eet Ogoul'Iquaqua sent him in April 1951.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) 1954 :<\/strong> Also approached by Abb\u00e9 Raponda Walker, Beno\u00eet Ogoul'Iquaqua contributed to the latter's project on the Oroungou.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) 1978 :<\/strong> Beno\u00eet Ogoul'Iquaqua answers RTG's Questionnaire in preparation for the Independence Day celebrations in Port-Gentil, an interview on the theme of \u201cHistoire de l'Ogoou\u00e9-Maritime\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In the same year, he continued his writings on the Oroungou in a \u201cCahier\u201d, taking up, deepening and broadening his earlier productions. In the chronological presentation of all his contributions that we have adopted, we include the contents of the \u201cAper\u00e7u d'histoire Omb\u00e8k\u00e8\u201d.<br \/>\n(Oroungou)\u201d and the additions appearing in the 1978 \u2018Cahier\u2019 in Beno\u00eet Ogoul'Iquaqua's answers to the various questionnaires and interrogations of his interlocutors.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beno\u00eet Ogoul\u2019Iquaqua voulait, disait-il, \u00ab apporter le sens, l\u2019intelligence, l\u2019esprit des coutumes \u00bb de son peuple ; il souhaitait \u00ab \u00e9tablir l\u2019histoire et les traditions par la science \u00bb.
