The \u2018Fraternit\u00e9\u2019 dance hall in the Grand Village district was a party venue, but also a place for political discussion, where people talked about the future of Gabon. It was there, on 3 June 1951 in Port-Gentil, that OIB organised a political meeting for his friend L\u00e9on M'Ba. It was also here that meetings of the section of the Bloc D\u00e9mocratique Gabonais (BDG, 1957) were held, at the invitation of its regional secretary (OIB).<\/p>\n
